Tours will be available on the half-hour, beginning at 10 a.m. and continuing until the last tour at 3 p.m. The tours will focus on the life and experiences of James Buchanan "Buck" Henry, nephew and private secretary to James Buchanan. Attendees will learn about Buck's childhood, his life with his uncle, and how he grew up to be a successful attorney, private secretary to the president, and artist. These tours are not the regular general admission tours.

All visitors must abide by LancasterHistory's Health & Safety Protocols for Visitors, including LancasterHistory's face mask policy.
"Hang Tough: The WWII Letters & Artifacts of Major Dick Winters" will be presented on Thursday, March 24, at 7 p.m. via Zoom. Erik Dorr and Jared Frederick will present a lecture on their latest book, "Hang Tough."
The well-known book and miniseries "Band of Brothers" share the story of Maj. Dick Winters of the 101st Airborne. Dorr and Frederick will discuss "Hang Tough" and how Winters' unpublished diary entries, military reports, postwar reminiscences, private photos, personal artifacts, and more create a narrative of his experiences.
Dorr is the founder and curator of the Gettysburg Museum of History. Frederick is an instructor of history at Penn State Altoona and a Civil War and WWII re-enactor.
The program is free and open to the public but requires advance registration using the previously mentioned website or phone number. The link to the Zoom event will be emailed upon registration. Registration for this program will close online on March 24 at 6:50 p.m.
