Children are invited to eat lunch at select Dauphin County Library System locations this summer. Through Thursday, Aug. 15, all children age 18 or younger can visit local libraries to enjoy a nutritious lunch on Mondays through Thursdays. Lunches will be provided free of charge by the Dauphin County Technical School.
Lunch will be held at several locations. William H. & Marion C. Alexander Family Library, 200 W. Second St., Hummelstown, will offer lunch from 11 a.m. to noon. Lunch will be available from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at East Shore Area Library, 4501 Ethel St., Harrisburg.
Madeline L. Olewine Memorial Library, 2410 N. Third St., Harrisburg, will offer lunch from noon to 1 p.m. Lunch will be available from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. at Kline Library, 530 S. 29th St., Harrisburg. Snack service only will be offered at the McCormick Riverfront Library, 101 Walnut St., Harrisburg, from 12:15 to 2:15 p.m.
Children who need a bite to eat on Fridays can stop by their local library for a quick summer snack and a beverage. For more information, readers may stop by or call their local library. No registration is required to participate in Lunch at the Library.
