Library Acquires Laptops

Lititz Public Library, 651 Kissel Hill Road, Lititz, is now offering ChromeKits and Wi-Fi hotspots for lending.

Each ChromeKit contains a laptop and a Wi-Fi hotspot, along with carrying cases and charging cords. Patrons can use the laptop to surf the web, read emails, or write and edit documents such as a resume. The laptop can back up their files to the cloud if they have a Google account.

There is no charge to check out a ChromeKit or hotspot, but borrowers must be age 18 or older. They must reside in the Lititz Public Library service area (Warwick School District) and be library card holders in good standing.

To reserve a ChromeKit, readers may call the library at 717-626-2255 or visit http://search.lancasterlibraries.org/ and search for "Lititz Laptop." The kits may be checked out for 14 days and are not renewable. Patrons must read and sign the ChromeKit lending policy and borrower agreement at the time of checkout.
