Library Features New Wall Mural

A permanent, painted mural has been installed at Adamstown Area Library, 110 W. Main St., Adamstown. The mural features a magical tree with a door as the focal point surrounded by flowers and vines, as well as stencils of the original 1926 Winnie the Pooh characters - Pooh, Christopher Robin, Piglet, Owl, Rabbit, Kanga, Roo, Tigger, and Eeyore.

Artist Roslyn Bansner, a longtime supporter of the library, donated the mural as part of the ongoing capital campaign for the new building. The library now boasts an additional 5,000 square feet, and the children's area is home to the floor-to-ceiling wall mural.

Inspired by the artwork at Lititz Public Library, young patrons are invited to place their mark on the new library by dipping a finger into yellow paint to create fingerprint bees to surround the hives where Pooh gets his honey.
