Library Friends Will Honor Clark

The Friends of Kreutz Creek Library have announced their selection of Sean Clark as the 2019 honoree for their annual Honors Reception. The Friends will recognize Clark for his outstanding dedication to education, libraries, and the community during a ceremony and reception at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 10. The public is invited to attend the event, which will be held at Historic Ashland, 6219 Lincoln Highway, Wrightsville.

Clark founded York Independents Inc. in 2001 to help others access knowledge and strategies to help secure their financial future. Originally trained as an engineer, Clark said the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, awakened a desire in him to find a way to more closely help the people in his community, and he changed his focus to financial services. Clark is a Master Registered Financial Consultant and an Investment Adviser Representative, having passed the Series 65 securities exam, and he is licensed in Pennsylvania for health and life insurance as well as annuities. He earned his Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering at Penn State University and his Master of Business Administration in entrepreneurship from American Public University. He also has completed graduate courses in financial markets at Yale University and is a Ph.D. candidate at University of the Cumberlands.

Clark is a lifelong resident of York County, where he and his wife, Annette, are raising their two daughters, Virginia and Callie. He is a drag racing fan, and York Independents sponsors the NHRA Leverage Racing Team. He is also involved with Rotary and Friends of Spring Garden.

The Kreutz Creek Honors ceremony will include commentary by guest speakers, who will pay tribute to Clark. Among those speaking at the event will be Michael Kochenour, founder and chairman of York Traditions Bank; John Klinedinst, chief administrative officer of C.S. Davidson Inc.; and John Porter, an attorney with the Law Offices of Griffith, Lerman, Lutz & Scheib. Their tributes will be followed by a reception.

A key component of the Kreutz Creek Honors event is to raise funds to continue providing services and programs to the community. Contributions to the Honors Fund are welcome by donating securely online at https://donate.yorklibraries.org.
