Eastern Lancaster County Library, 11 Chestnut Drive, New Holland, will offer a variety of activities to the public. Due to limited space, registration is required for all events. In the case of potentially inclement weather, outdoor programs may be canceled. The library will be closed on Monday, Sept. 6.
Outdoor Preschool Story Time, for children ages 3 to 6, will take place on Tuesdays, Sept. 7, 14, 21, and 28, at 10:30 a.m. Outdoor Toddler Thursdays, for children ages 1 to 3, will be held on Sept. 2, 9, 16, and 30 at 10:30 a.m. Blankets are recommended for seating at both programs.
The virtual Dungeons and Dragons Club, for youths ages 10 to 19, will meet every Thursday from Sept. 2 to 30 at 6 p.m. For more details and to register, email cbarrows@elancolibrary.org.
"The Mars Room" by Rachel Kushner will be discussed at the Readers' Roundtable Book Discussion, for adults, on Monday, Sept. 13, at 2 p.m. in the downstairs boardroom of the library.
Hooks and Needles Yarn Craft Club, for knitters and crocheters of all ages and skill levels, will meet on Sept. 13 at 6:30 p.m.
Lego Creation Club, for people age 3 and up, will be held on Sept. 13 at 6:30 p.m.
Youths in grades seven through 12 may read any book in preparation for attending the Virtual Teen Book Club meeting on Monday, Sept. 27, at 6:30 p.m. They may also join the Virtual Teen Advisory Group on Sept. 27 at 7 p.m. to help plan future teen events at the library. Youths may email cbarrows@elancolibrary.org to obtain the Zoom link for either of these programs.
