Milanof-Schock Library, 1184 Anderson Ferry Road, Mount Joy, has posted its upcoming programs. Unless otherwise noted, all programs are free and require registration by visiting http://www.mslibrary.org or calling 717-653-1510.

Gently used books and media can be donated to the self-service shed behind the library on Tuesdays through Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon.

Child, youth and family activities will include Super Science, for children age 3 and up, on Tuesday, April 12, at 10:30 a.m.; Lego Challenge, a family program, on April 12 at 6 p.m., with space limited; Story Time on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10:30 a.m.; a Homeschool Art Class, for children age 7 and up, on Thursday, April 14, at 1:30 p.m.; Fun Family Bingo, for people age 7 and up, on Tuesday, April 19, at 6 p.m., with space limited; Homeschool STEM, for youths age 7 and up, on Thursday, April 21, at 1:30 p.m.; and Homeschool History Mystery, for children age 7 and up, on Thursday, April 28, at 1:30 p.m.

Families may also visit the library for Fun Fort Friday on April 8 from 5 to 6 p.m. Attendees may bring blankets or sheets, flashlights and a drink. Space is limited.

Adventure With Baby will be offered for children ages 6 months through 24 months with caregiver on April 19 at 10:30 a.m.

In celebration of Earth Day, Friday, April 22, Make a Seed Bookmark will take place on Saturday, April 9, at 1:30 p.m. Families may make seed bookmarks using recycled materials.

The library has resumed its biweekly reading challenges for adults. Visit the library for the topics or look for them on social media.

A five-part series on dementia will take place on select Thursdays at 6 p.m. Topics will be "The Basic Facts" on April 7, "Communication Skills" on April 14, "Environmental Safety and Helpful Hints" on April 28, "Addressing Challenging Behaviors" on May 5, and "Creative Problem Solving" on May 12. Attendees may choose to sign up for one or more of the sessions.

Programs for adults will also include Adult Game Night on Wednesday, April 6, at 6 p.m.; Closely Knit, for knitters and crocheters, on Mondays, April 11 and 25, at 1 p.m., with no registration necessary; the Northwest Book Club on Wednesday, April 13, at 6 p.m.; Joyful Stitchers Cross-Stitch Club, for people of all skill levels, on Saturday, April 16, from 9:15 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.; Adults-Only Bingo on Wednesday, April 20, at 2 p.m., with space limited; A Gathering of Artists Club on April 20 from 6 to 8 p.m.; and Make-It Monday - "Step Into Spring" on April 25 at 6 p.m. The Friends of the Milanof-Schock Library will meet on April 11 at 6 p.m., and new members are welcome.

Adam Zurn will present Mysterious Petroglyphs of Safe Harbor on Monday, April 18, at 6 p.m. Zurn will share his expedition down the lower Susquehanna River, exploring the 1,000-year-old Native American petroglyphs hidden in the river's vicinity. Zurn will discuss their possible meanings and share some local Native American legends surrounding the rock carvings.
