The Eastern Lancaster County (ELANCO) Library, 11 Chestnut Drive, New Holland, will offer a variety of programs and activities to the community. Library hours are from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

Several story time programs will be offered. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Friday Frolic for Toddlers will be offered on Fridays at 10:30 a.m. and is open to walking toddlers ages 1 to 3. It will be followed by Stay and Play Friday at 11 a.m. Preschool Story Time will take place on Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. for children ages 3 to 5.
KPETS therapy dogs will visit the library at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 2, to offer children an opportunity to improve their reading skills by reading aloud to a therapy dog. The program is open to children of all ages.
Zumba at the Library will be held on March 2 at 10 a.m. The class is free and designed for people age 16 and older.
One-on-One Tech Help will be available on Saturdays, March 2 and 16, from 2 to 4 p.m. and Thursday, March 7, at 1 p.m. The program offers free help with any device, tablet, or computer. Walk-ins are welcome, but are not guaranteed an appointment.
Taste testing of chocolate sandwich cookies will take place on Monday, March 4, at 6:30 p.m. for students in grades six through 12. A Readers' Roundtable Book Discussion for adults will be held on March 4 at 6:30 p.m. in the downstairs board room to discuss "The Other Einstein" by Marie Benedict.
Teen Tuesdays will run from 3 to 5 p.m. for students in grades seven through 12. Parachute Play will be held on Wednesday, March 6, at 10:30 a.m. and is open to walking toddlers ages 1 to 3.
Play K - Kindergarten Readiness will be offered on Wednesdays, March 6 and 13, at 1 p.m. and is open to children entering kindergarten in the fall 2019.
1, 2, 3 Play With Me will be offered on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. and Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. Each week offers opportunities for children to play with developmentally appropriate toys in a play group atmosphere. Parents will have the chance to talk with community experts in the areas of child development and nutrition.
An Anime Evening for people age 16 and older will be held on March 7 at 6:30 p.m. An Acrylic Paint Class will be held on Saturday, March 9, at 2 p.m. for people age 13 and over. A materials fee will be payable at the door. Class size is limited.
After-School Anime will take place on Monday, March 11, from 3 to 5 p.m. for students in grades seven through 12. The Lego Creation Club and The Hooks and Needles: Yarn Crafting Club will both meet on March 11 at 6:30 p.m.
Yoga Story Time will be held on March 13 at 10:30 a.m. for children ages 2 to 6 with an adult. Siblings are welcome to participate. Participants will journey through a story in yoga poses with song, movement, and imagination.
Movie Night will be held on Thursday, March 14, at 5 p.m. Details about the 90-minute movie are available by contacting the library.
A Pete the Cat Party for the entire family will be held on March 14 at 6:30 p.m. The family event will offer a story time, crafts, and activities.
Take a Bike Ride! will take place on Saturday, March 16, at 10:30 a.m. Families are invited to bring their bikes for a 1-mile bike ride around the library. Light snacks and water will be provided at the end.
Explore to Learn: The Body will be held on Monday, March 18, at 6:30 p.m. Students in kindergarten through grade six will learn about major organs, skeletons, and more through activities and books.
Baby Rembrandt, for children ages 1 to 5, will be held on Wednesday, March 20, at 10:30 a.m. The Dungeons and Dragons Club, open to individuals age 10 and up, will meet on Thursday, March 21, at 6:30 p.m. Block Party - Preschool STEM event will begin on March 21 at 6:30 p.m. and is open to children ages 3 to 6.
Cup and Craft will be held on March 21 at 6:30 p.m. for people age 16 and older. Participants will have a cup of tea and make upcycled bookmarks.
Teen Study Hall, for students in grades seven through 12, will be offered on Monday, March 25, from 3 to 5 p.m. The Teen Advisory Group will hold a meeting on March 25 at 6:30 p.m. and is open to students in grades six through 12 who want to help plan future teen events at the library.
The Teen Book Club, for teenagers in grades six through 12, will gather at 7 p.m. on March 25. Attendees should bring along a book they have read recently for discussion.
Drop-in Craft will be offered on Wednesday, March 27, from 5 to 7 p.m. Individuals of all ages are invited to stop by the library for a drop-in craft.
Emotional Wellness with Essential Oils will be held on March 27 at 6:30 p.m. and is open to people age 16 and older. Registration is required for this event, and there is a materials fee.
Facebook 101 will be held on Thursday, March 28, at 1 p.m. and is open to people age 16 and older. Registration is required.
All Together Now - Share Your Culture Through Food! will be held on March 28 at 6:30 p.m. Participants should bring a dish with a written recipe to share.
The Young Readers' Club will gather on March 28 at 6:30 p.m. Students in grades three to five will explore different books and themes. Children should choose a book from the Boxcar Children series.
Teen After-Hours: Game Night! will take place on Friday, March 29, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Students in grades six through 12 will eat and socialize. Game night will feature video games, tabletop games, and board games, along with the opportunity to meet new people.
