An insect STEM challenge, recommended for elementary schoolers, will be offered on Monday, May 13, at 4 p.m. Manheim Central School District teacher Colleen Reiner will lead the program.
Story Time with Pete the Cat, designed for toddlers and preschoolers, will take place on Tuesday, May 14, at 10 a.m. Pete will be available for photos, high fives and autographs.
STEM and Play will be offered on Wednesdays and Thursdays through May 16 at 10 a.m., with preschoolers meeting on Wednesdays and toddlers gathering on Thursdays. Youngsters may play and experiment. Registration is requested, but walk-ins will be welcome. Siblings are welcome.
A sessions of Dungeons and Dragons for teenagers age 13 and up will be offered from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 18.
Full STEAM Ahead, for youths age 10 and up, will take place at noon on May 18. The program will be "Got Bees?" Attendees may learn from Master Gardener Dyan Eisenberger. Registration is required by noon on May 16. For last-minute registration, readers may call the library to check availability.
Youths age 5 and up are invited to take part in a Lego Challenge on Wednesday, May 22, at 3:30 p.m. Upon arrival, youths will be given a challenge, such as a theme, goal or competition.
The book club for adults will discuss "Before We Were Yours" by Lisa Wingate when it meets on Friday, May 24, at 9:30 a.m.
The Friends of the Manheim Community Library will host a series of dining-out fundraising events throughout the year. Readers may visit the aforementioned website or stop by the library for details.
