Library To Offer Upcoming Programs

The Secret (Magic) Show, for people of all ages, will be presented on Thursday, Aug. 8, at 2 p.m. The program is a demonstration of the numerous techniques a magician uses to deceive his audience for entertainment purposes. This performance draws from magician Ran'D Shine's interactive relationship with his audience and his mastery of sleight of hand and mind reading. Registration is requested.

Sessions of Dungeons and Dragons for teenagers age 13 and up will be offered from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays, Aug. 10 and 24.

The book club for adults will discuss "Dust" by Martha Grimes when it meets on Friday, Aug. 23, at 9:30 a.m.

A Sensory Story Time featuring activities will be held on Saturday, Aug. 24, at 11:30 a.m. The interactive, themed story time is specially designed for children ages 4 to 8 with autism spectrum disorders, sensory integration issues, or developmental disabilities. Caregivers should participate. A snack will be provided. Registration is requested.

Volunteers are needed to assist with Sensory Story Time. Volunteers should be at least 14 years old. Experience with children and/or children with disabilities is preferred. Volunteers may sign up online.

The library will have summer Saturday hours of 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. through August.
