Preschool Meet-Up will take place from 10:30 a.m. to noon each Tuesday. The casual gathering is open to children ages 3 to 5 and their caregivers. The program will meet in the Early Literacy Lab. Older and younger siblings are welcome.

The North Museum of Nature and Science will lead a "Mission to the Moon" program on Wednesday, July 10, from 10 to 11 a.m. Through hands-on experiences, participants will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the historic mission that landed the first astronauts on the moon, and they will explore the moon's surface in preparation for designing a lunar lander. The program is best for children ages 8 to 12; younger children will need a caregiver to assist with the activity. Registration is required.
Crafts in the Middle for grades six to nine will meet on July 10 from 2 to 3 p.m.
The Wonderful World of Words will be offered on Thursdays, July 11, 18 and 25, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. This is a summer program for 9- to 11-year-olds who are aspiring writers or poets or who just want to learn some new words. A local educator will lead activities for fun and for vocabulary enrichment. Registration is required.
On July 11, 18 and 25, Parachute Games will be held from 10:45 to 11:15 a.m. and will provide songs, rhymes and games for children ages 3 to 6 and their caregivers. Parachute Play, for children ages 1 to 3 and their caregivers, will take place on July 25 from 10 to 10:30 a.m.
Family Movie Night will be held on July 11 at 6 p.m. The library will show a free G- or PG-rated movie and serve popcorn. People of all ages are welcome.The program is usually held on the first Thursday of every month, but it will take place on the second Thursday in July.
Kids' Parachute Challenge for children ages 7 to 12 will be held on Fridays, July 12, 19 and 26, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. It will feature parachute games and activities.
Wee Readers, a family story time, will include a mix of stories, crafts, songs and activities. The program will be held at 10:30 a.m. on July 12 and 26. The program is open to children ages 1 to 5 and their caregivers.
Teen-led clay and drama workshops for children age 10 and up will continue on July 12, 19 and 26 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Each meeting will last 90 minutes; children will learn techniques of working with clay and have the opportunity to display their product and perform in front of others. Registration is required for the summer session.
Tweens' BYOB (Bring Your Own Book) for grades five through eight will be held from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. on July 12. Attendees will take on a challenge, read books they choose, join a community of readers, share and discuss. Snacks will be provided. Walk-ins are welcome.
Teen Anime for youths age 13 and up will take place on July 12 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Participants will watch anime, eat snacks and socialize. The anime will have a PG, PG-13 or TV-14 rating.
The Teen Dungeons and Dragons Club will meet on Saturdays, July 13 and 27, from 1 to 4:30 p.m. This club meets twice monthly.
Phredd: Ukelele One-Man Band, a performance appropriate for people of all ages, will take place on Tuesday, July 16, from 2 to 3 p.m. It will include ukulele strumming, harmonica wailing, suitcase drum kicking and performances of original tunes about pirates, electric tricycles, monkeys and more. Registration is required.
Mini Science, appropriate for children entering kindergarten through grade two with a responsible adult, will take place from 11 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, July 17. The program will include science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) games, activities and projects. Registration is requested.
Summer Sampler: Baby's First Storytime, for ages 17 months and younger with caregiver, will be held on July 17 from 1 to 2 p.m. There will be singing and sharing of stories, rhymes and finger plays. Other family members are welcome, and registration is requested.
Summer Lego Club willl meet from 6 to 7 p.m. on July 17. Attendees will build creations to be displayed in the library. People of all ages are welcome, but the program is best for those age 5 and up. Children under 3 should be closely monitored by a responsible adult.
Family Science Night, featuring hands-on science experimentation for the whole family, will take place on July 18 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. This program, using kits provided by Agilent Technologies that attendees get to keep at the end, is best for families with children ages 8 to 12. Registration is required.
Teen Board Games for those ages 12 to 19 will be held on Saturday, July 20, from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Attendees may bring their favorite board games to share with the group.
On Wednesday, July 24, from 1 to 2 p.m., STEM for Tweens for grades five to eight will be offered. Attendees will take on a NASA-based engineering challenge. Registration is requested.
Jesse Rothacker will present his Rocketing Reptiles story time on July 25 from 2 to 3 p.m. Rocketing Reptiles is an interactive animal show featuring Rothacker and his lizards, turtles, alligators and snakes. The program is best for children age 5 and up; younger children must remain with a caregiver. Registration is required.
STEM Saturday for children ages 8 to 12 will take place on July 27 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. The monthly series of STEM-based programs encourages children and families to learn about math and the sciences. These hands-on programs use kits provided by Agilent Technologies that attendees get to keep at the end. Registration is requested, as space is limited.
