The library will be closed for Labor Day on Monday, Sept. 2.
The Friends' fall book sale will take place on Thursday, Sept. 5, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday, Sept. 6, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Saturday, Sept. 7, from 9 a.m. to noon.
Registration for the fall story times will begin on Monday, Sept. 9, at 9 a.m. On the first day of registration, residents of Elizabeth Township, Lititz Borough and Warwick Township may sign up. Residents outside the library's service area may register beginning on Tuesday, Sept. 10, and story times will begin the week of Monday, Sept. 16.
Knitting Club will meet on Mondays, Sept. 9 and 23, from 10 a.m. to noon. The program is not a class or instruction time, but a friendly gathering where people work on knitting projects. Attendees must bring their own supplies. Crocheters are also welcome.
Scrabble Meet-Ups, for which attendees are asked to bring their own boards, will take place on Sept. 9 from 1 to 3 p.m. and on Tuesday, Sept. 24, from 6 to 8 p.m.
The Painting Club will meet on Wednesdays, Sept. 11 and 25, at 12:30 p.m. Attendees should bring their own painting supplies.
The Astronomy Enthusiasts of Lancaster County will meet on Sept. 11 at 6:30 p.m. The public is invited to find out what is in the night sky.
The Great Decisions Discussion Group will meet on Sept. 11 at 6:30 p.m. Those interested in foreign affairs are invited to join this moderated, nonpartisan discussion group.
The Lancaster Civil War Roundtable will meet on Thursday, Sept. 12, at 6:30 p.m. Kathryn Canavan will present "Lincoln's Final Hours."
The Jane Austen Society will meet on Tuesday, Sept. 17, at 6:30 p.m. Attendees are invited to enjoy a cup of tea and discuss all things Austen.
A Wine and Cheese Pairings class will be offered on Thursday, Sept. 19, at 6 p.m. Doreen Hershey and Linda Leeking will lead the class. Registration is required and space is limited.
The Buckhill Sleuths Book Club, a mystery book club that meets every other month, will meet on Monday, Sept. 23, at 2 p.m. at Elanco Library in New Holland. "That Darkness" by Lisa Black will be discussed.
The Lititz Art Association will meet on Tuesday, Sept. 24, at 6:30 p.m.
The Robin Work Quartet will present a concert on Thursday, Sept. 26, at 6:30 p.m. The group will sing songs from the Great American Songbook, including music from the Gershwins, Cole Porter, Jerome Kern and others.

Story Time with Hank the Health Hero will take place on Thursday, Sept. 12, at 10:30 a.m. Hank and his friend will read a special book about teeth.
A mystery challenge for children ages 6 to 9 will be offered on Monday, Sept. 16, at 4 p.m. Everyday items will be on a table in the community room to complete the challenge.
Family Storytime - Quack, Quack, Quack for children of all ages with a caregiver will be held on Saturday, Sept. 21, at 10 a.m. Activities will include duck stories, songs, and a craft. Registration will begin on Saturday, Sept. 7.
Cruise Into Kindergarten for children ages 3 to 6 is planned for Monday, Sept. 23, at 6:30 p.m. This early literacy program is based on the national "Every Child Ready to Read" program. After hearing a story, the child and caregiver will visit different stations that will help with skills needed to start school.
