Each year, the Friends of the Collinsville Community Library hosts a basket auction for the Christmas season. This year, the annual Christmas basket auction will take place on Saturday, Dec. 7, at the Collinsville Community Library, 2632 Delta Road, Brogue. Auction bids will begin at 9 a.m., and final bids will be at noon.
Those who would like to promote a business or talent may do so through the basket auction. By partnering with the library, businesses and individuals can spotlight what they offer, while providing for the needs of the library and its patrons.
To participate, readers may may fill and donate a basket or container of any size and/or theme. The basket should include business cards, brochures, and any promotional items in a separate envelope so they may be displayed with the donated basket. All baskets must be delivered no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6. Items may be dropped off during the library's regular business hours of 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays, 3 to 8 p.m. on Tuesdays, 2 to 6 p.m. on Thursdays, 1 to 5 p.m. on Fridays, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the first and third Saturdays of the month.
