Library Sets Fall Activities

Moores Memorial Library, 9 W. Slokom Ave., Christiana, will resume regular, in-person events and activities as permitted in September.

Preschool story time will be held in the children's library area on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. beginning on Sept. 8. The children's discovery/play area is also open for hands-on exploration.

Lego Club will be held in the community room on the lower level of the library on the second and fourth Thursday of each month from 6 to 7 p.m.

Children may read or visit with the library's live bunny on Tuesdays, Sept. 14 and 28, from 4:30 to 5 p.m.

Outdoor Movie Night for adults will take place on Friday, Sept. 17, at sundown. Attendees should bring their own chairs or blankets. The "Date Night" movie is sponsored by the Christiana Police Department and the library and is appropriate for adults only.

A special presentation by Turtle Dance Music, which offers music and fun for preschoolers, is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 20, at 10:30 a.m. The program will he held outside under the canopy.

The Read Moore Bookstore is open for in-person shopping on Mondays through Fridays from 1 to 4 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 to noon. The bookstore is now accepting donations of used books in salable condition. Donation guidelines are available in the library.

The bookstore and library will be closed on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, Sept. 4, 5 and 6, for the Labor Day holiday.
