Library Sets Programs

Lititz Public Library, 651 Kissel Hill Road, Lititz, will offer a variety of programs and activities to the public. Unless otherwise noted, no registration is required. For details, contact 717-626-2255 or register@lititzlibrary.org or visit http://www.lititzlibrary.org.

The library will be closed on Monday, Oct. 11, for staff development.

Ongoing programs will include Morning Yoga every Monday at 9 a.m. for adults and teens; Astronomy Enthusiasts of Lancaster County on Wednesday, Oct. 6, at 6:30 p.m.; Painting Club at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesdays, Oct. 13 and 27; the Great Decisions Discussion Group on Oct. 13 at 6:30 p.m.; Genealogy Club on Wednesday, Oct. 20, at 6:30 p.m.; Newcomers and Neighbors Book Club on Thursday, Oct. 21, at 1 p.m., reading "Early Morning Riser" by Katherine Heiny; and the Literary Travelers Book Club on Friday, Oct. 22, at 10 a.m., reading "The Bridge on the Drina" by Ivo Andric.

Also, the Knitting Club, for knitters and crocheters, from 10 a.m. to noon on Mondays, Oct. 4 and 18; Lititz Garden Club on Thursday, Oct. 7, at 6:30 p.m., with a focus on fall container gardening; Lancaster County Civil War Roundtable on Thursday, Oct. 14, at 6:30 p.m. (registration required); Jane Austen Society on Tuesday, Oct. 19, at 6:30 p.m.; Buckhill Sleuths Book Club - New Holland Location at 2 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 25, at 2 p.m., reading "Holdout" by Graham Moore; Lititz Art Association on Tuesday, Oct. 26, at 6 p.m.; and BYOB - Bring Your Own Book (Club) for adults will meet on Thursday, Oct. 28, at 2 p.m.

Mindfulness for Beginners, a one-hour Zoom event organized by the library and The Mindfulness Center of Lititz, will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 12, at 6:30 p.m. Registration will begin Thursday, Sept. 30.

Fall Film and Fun Fest, featuring recipes, a showing of "Practical Magic," and more, will take place on Oct. 14 at 1:30 p.m. Space is limited, and registration, which is required, will begin on Sept. 30.

Anna Alexander Trio will perform jazz music and modern songs on Oct. 21 at 6:30 p.m. Registration is required and will begin on Sept. 30. Seating is limited.

Fall Backyard Story Time is available through Thursday, Nov. 11, and people may sign up through SignUpGenius.

Giant nutritionists will offer several programs through Zoom: Mini Chef Mornings on Mondays at 10:30 a.m., Junior Chef Creations on Wednesdays at 4 p.m., and Snack-Crafting on Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. Details are available at http://thegiantcompanynutritionists.eventbrite.com.

A StoryWalk will be available every day at the library. The self-directed activity encourages people of all ages to read a children's picture book in stages while walking along a short path and completing a simple activity for each page. The current installation features "Love Monster and the Last Chocolate" by Rachel Bright.
