Library Slates Harp Performance

The Mason-Dixon Public Library, 250 Bailey Drive, Stewartstown, will host a harp performance on Sunday, June 23, beginning at 2 p.m. Kris Snyder will perform tunes by the musical duo of Rodgers and Hammerstein.

Snyder is a fourth-generation harper, arranger, composer and teacher. After being given her great-grandmother's Clark harp, she embraced the family tradition as a profession and now has more than 27 years of musical experience. She is the director of the lever harp camp called Harp Quest, held every year in southcentral Pennsylvania, and she was the director of The Muses, a harp ensemble in York County. Snyder is also sole proprietor of Hands to Harps, providing harp music for any occasion located in the Mid-Atlantic region. She is a Certified Music Practitioner and currently provides live harp music for people who are elderly, ill or dying.

The performance is open to community members of all ages. Admission is free.
