The Mason-Dixon Public Library, 250 Bailey Drive, Stewartstown, will offer a bus trip to Hillwood Estate, the Washington, D.C., home of Marjorie Merriweather Post, on Wednesday, April 22. Post was heir to the Postum Cereals company, which later became General Foods Inc.
The guided tour will include the mansion itself, the museum and the surrounding gardens in Rock Creek Park, Washington, D.C. The cost will include round-trip chartered coach transportation and admission to the official Hillwood guided tour. Attendees may bring their own lunch or purchase food on-site. The bus will depart from the Bailey Springs Town Center adjacent to the library at 8 a.m. and return by 5 p.m.
