The Mason-Dixon Public Library hosted a breakfast on Aug. 10 at the library to recognize its Volunteers of the Year. The library uses many volunteers in addition to its small paid staff to provide quality services for patrons while keeping the library expenses within budget.
The two volunteers recognized this year are Anne Herzberger and Amanda "Mandy" Anderson. Herzberger has volunteered on the board of directors for multiple terms and also served as the art program director for a number of years. Anderson has been a library volunteer for more than 10 years. She volunteers mainly in the children's room and helps out in other areas as needed.
