Manheim Township Public Library, 595 Granite Run Drive, Lancaster, will host the second annual Buy the Book fundraiser on Friday, Oct. 4, from 6 to 8 p.m. The theme will be "A great book can take you around the world."
During the event, the library will provides hors d'oeuvres, beverages, music, and books. Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase preselected books that the library will add to the children's, young adult, and adult collections. A book plate will be placed inside each purchased book. The book plate may include the name of the purchaser or can be in memory of a loved one.
Those who are unable to attend the event but would still like to support the library may make donations. People may also visit the library during the week following the event and browse the books that are still available for purchase.
