Library Will Offer Health Programs

Lititz Public Library, 651 Kissel Hill Road, Lititz, has posted three upcoming programs. To preregister for these programs, readers may visit the library or call 717-626-2255.

Nutritionist Kilene Knitter will present free children's cooking classes, which will provide children with basic skills needed to create a balanced snack. Junior Chef Creations for children ages 6 to 12 will meet from 4 to 4:30 p.m. on Mondays, Sept. 9, Oct. 21, and Nov. 18. Mini Chef Creations for children ages 5 and under will take place from 10 to 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 4; Friday, Nov. 1; and Tuesday, Dec. 3. Space is limited to 15 children.

Story time with Hank the Health Hero for children age 7 and under will be held on Thursday, Sept. 12, at 10 a.m. Hank and his friend will read a special book all about teeth, followed by activities all about teeth.

The library will offer the new Roaming Readers Walking Club at 9 a.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays from Wednesday, Sept. 18, through Wednesday, Nov. 13. Participants will walk around the library's neighborhood and discuss books. The group will meet in front of the library. In the event of heavy rain, the club will not meet.
