Penn State Extension will offer two free informational sessions to preview the Lifelong Improvement through Fitness Together (LIFT) strength-training program at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 4, and Friday, March 13, at the Dauphin County Agriculture and Natural Resources Center, 1451 Peters Mountain Road, Dauphin.
Each session will include a presentation on the LIFT program and a demonstration of the exercises. The public is invited to attend.
LIFT (formerly called StrongWomen) is a strength-training and nutrition program for individuals who have been active or sedentary for the past few years and are interested in improving their health. Participation in LIFT may result in improvements in functional fitness which is the ability to perform activities of daily living with ease.
