Linden Hall DECA was among 324 chapters that achieved THRIVE level recognition this year, and it was commended at DECA's International Career Development Conference (ICDC) held virtually in April. In order to receive THRIVE level recognition, a chapter must complete two out of three specific campaigns - the Global Entrepreneurship Week campaign, promotional campaign, and community service campaign.
Each fall, DECA offers four campaigns for chapters to complete as part of their program of leadership for the year. These campaigns are designed to grow membership engagement and build lasting partnerships within the school and local community.
The Linden Hall DECA members who contributed to the THRIVE recognition were Adomah Danquah, Anastasiya Astapenka, Angelica Chen, Ann Nguyen, Chichi Ogbuebile, Christina Vu, Emily Tan, Emily Teng, Emma Buckius, Essance Peters, Evita Ramirez, Halee Morrissey, Humayra Anisa, Irina Simionel, Iris Yoon, Jamora Jacobs, Linh Dinh, Louis Lu, Luna Kirby, Manasbi Bista, Michelle Chi, Nour Tahiri, Rocka Moragne, Sherry Chen, Shirley Zhang, Siran Rao, and Tina He. Their adviser is Natasha Solomon, dean of students.
This year, the Linden Hall DECA Club has completed a record four campaigns. They include the Global Entrepreneurship Week campaign, promotional campaign, community service campaign, and advocacy campaign. Each campaign required a total of nine activities, such as writing letters of encouragement to local businesses, hanging up posters, advocating for career and technical education funding to policy makers, and hosting business speakers.
