The fifth annual Livermorial event will take place on Saturday, Sept. 21, from 6 to 11 p.m. at the Millersville VFW, 219 Walnut Hill Road, Millersville. The event will feature live music by Mockingbird, a silent auction, and a potluck dinner.
Friends and family of the late Jim Livermore will come together to raise the funds to secure an endowed scholarship in his name to be administered by the Penn Manor Education Foundation (PMEF) in perpetuity to a Penn Manor student pursuing a career in the trades.
Hoping to partner with local businesses, event organizers have discussed possibilities to follow with the help of PMEF. Livermorial has raised more than $5,000 for local charities such as The Humane League of Lancaster and Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors Inc.
Nominal donations will be accepted at the door.
