Penn State Extension and the Pennsylvania Women's Agricultural Network will host a Pastured Livestock Production Workshop on Tuesday, July 9, from 10 a.m to 4 p.m. at Yeehaw Farm, 51 Rohrer Drive, Duncannon.
The event will begin with a pasture walk followed by a farm tour with the farm hosts. Speakers for the program will include the following Extension personnel: Beth Hines, swine specialist; Tara Felix, beef specialist; Jessica Williamson, forages specialist; Melanie Barkley, sheep educator; and Liz Bosak, pasture weeds educator. Topics will include animal nutrition, livestock management, and pasture management, as well as animal nutrition, health, and parasite control for beef, sheep, and pigs.
