Audrey Lloyd completed her ROTC cadet training and was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the United States Army on May 10. Lloyd was enrolled in the ROTC program through the William & Mary, where she graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science in biology.
It is customary for newly commissioned officers to select someone who has contributed to their success to pin the gold bars on their uniform. Along with her parents, David and Patricia Lloyd, Audrey selected retired Col. Donna Hershey for this honor.
For the next two months, Lloyd will serve at Fort Knox assisting with training new cadets. She will then head to Fort Lee to attend the Basic Officer Leadership Course for quartermaster and logistics training. After her training is completed, she will be assigned as quartermaster to the 82nd Airborne Sustainment Brigade at Fort Bragg.
She is a 2015 graduate of Donegal High School.
