Twenty-nine Lebanon Valley College students are participating in an immersive study-away experience this spring in countries including China, Germany, Italy, New Zealand, Northern Ireland, and Spain. Local students include Malia Waltman of Gordonville.
Waltman, a graduate of Pequea Valley High School, is studying in Shanghai, China, and pursuing a Bachelor of Science in digital communications and international business. The study-away program offers students the opportunity to take an introductory Mandarin language course, combined with relevant Chinese contextual courses and an internship with a multinational company. Students live on the campus of Eastern China Normal University in Shanghai.
