The Saint Anthony's Italian Social Club hosted its inaugural tasting event on March 9 as part of the yearlong 100th anniversary celebration of the club's inception.
More than 100 people attended the event, as they sampled 12 locally made wines. The beverages were then judged by high-ranking officials of St. Anthony's Lodge, including Sabatino Talucci, Louis Caprioti, Anthony Mascherino, Michael DiSantis, and Nick DiBerardinis.
Glen Miller won first place, Marc Aliciano won second place, and Dave Scamuffa won third place.
Organizers plan to make it an annual event.
