In the spirit of Valentine's Day, the Department of Neighborhood Engagement recently announced the 2021 Love Your Block mini grants. The program is built on the foundation of loving one's neighbor and empowering communities in Lancaster city's neighborhoods.
Residents throughout Lancaster city, as well as related neighborhood organizations and their volunteer partners, are invited to apply for mini grants through the Love Your Block program. Love Your Block is a community engagement program that supports and incubates resident-led community improvement projects. The mini grants of $500 will be offered for projects that focus on spreading connection and community through creative ways during the COVID-19 pandemic, helping provide essential supplies to neighbors, and demonstrating loving one's neighbor in other engaging ways.
The application is available at http://www.cityoflancasterpa.com/love-your-block. Applications are due by Thursday, March 18. Love Your Block mini grants are made possible through the support of the High Foundation and Cities of Service.
