Lower Dauphin High School graduating seniors recently received recognition.
Morgan Cummings, the daughter of Renee Cummings and TJ Cummings, was named Young Woman of the Month for May by the Hummelstown Women's Club.
Morgan was a three-year member of the STEM Club and the National Honor Society, where she has served as secretary/treasurer. She was a four-year member of the lacrosse team and a three-year member of the soccer team. She participated in the Chick-fil-A Leadership Academy last year. She has also served as a mentor in Lower Dauphin's outdoor education program.
In the community, she served as a Club Ophelia and Camp Ophelia mentor with Lower Dauphin Communities That Care. She participated in the Miss Hummelstown pageant last year and volunteers with the Hummelstown Summer Recreation program. She also plays club soccer.
Morgan plans to attend Kent State University and major in public relations with a minor in marketing and visual communications.
Conrad Gaither, the son of Mark and Kathryn Gaither, was honored by the Rotary Club of Hummelstown as the Student of the Month for May.
Conrad is relatively new to the school but made an impact. He was Pepper in the spring musical, "Mamma Mia!" He was involved in the school's BIG Club and the ping-pong club. He was also involved in the Mini-THON, men's a cappella group, and Ultimate Frisbee club. At his previous school, he was active in ROTC and chorus.
In the community, he is active with his church and helps with vacation Bible school. He also holds a private pilot license for Unmanned Aircraft Systems.
After graduation, Conrad plans to attend the HarvestNET School of Supernatural Ministry.
