The Lancaster Science Factory (LSF), 454 New Holland Ave., Lancaster, will be a part of the Lancaster Conservancy's annual Water Week by hosting a special series of 60-minute environmental science workshops for children from Saturday, June 5, through Friday, June 11. LSF will offer hands-on classes on Hydropower, Water Filters, Green Infrastructure, and Bugs in the Ecosystem for students in kindergarten through grade eight.
The LSF will also offer free admission on First Friday, June 4, from 5 to 7 p.m. The evening will feature rain barrel painting and a special rainfall simulation led by the Chesapeake Bay Foundation. Attendees may enter to win a rain barrel.
All workshops will be offered at a reduced price of per student due to the support of the Junior League of Lancaster. For details and registration, visit http://www.tlsf.org.
LSF will continue to require all visitors over age 2 to wear a cloth mask that covers their nose and mouth during their visit.
