Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health will host a program, The Breath You Take, on Thursday, Sept. 19, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Ann B. Barshinger Cancer Institute, 2102 Harrisburg Pike, Lancaster.
With a focus on improving lung health and preventing lung disease, the evening of lung cancer education will be presented by a team of local experts. Individuals will learn how to lower their risk for lung disease and breathe easier. Attendees will be able to browse educational displays about lung CT screening, radon, secondhand smoke, vaping, holistic therapies, cessation tools, nutrition, and more.
At 6:45 p.m., Bubbles, Breathing, and Body Movement will be offered in the healing garden. Presentations and a panel discussion will begin at 7:15 p.m. A light, healthy meal will be provided.
One free radon kit per household will be available.
