Students from Lebanon Valley College (LVC), Annville, along with an LVC alumnus and two faculty advisers, recently completed a week-long service learning trip to the Dominican Republic. During the trip, LVC volunteers taught English to elementary-age students in a public school each morning and in the afternoons served in two after-school learning centers established by Outreach360, an organization dedicated to providing educational opportunities to underserved children in Latin America.
Local students include Samantha Machin of Lititz. Machin is a graduate of Warwick High School and is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in early childhood education.
