AACA Museum, 161 Museum Drive, Hershey, will offer Paint Me a Magic Bus on Saturday, March 14. The arts activity for children and their families will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The program and art materials will be included with museum admission.
Artist Bob Hieronimus, creator of the 1962 Woodstock LIGHT Bus, will join Arlene Sorenson, lead teaching artist at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, for an interactive art project that is child-centered but will appeal to adults as well. Participants will have the opportunity to create their very own "magic bus."
The program will explore symbols of the 1960s, their significance, and their meanings today. Participants will create their own symbols through an art activity to promote and spread the message of peace, love, and community, which is the mission of the Aquarian Age. Hieronimus will provide an overview of the bus at 11 a.m. and will be available for questions throughout the event.
The program will use an open house format, so attendees can come at any time from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The program is best suited for children age 6 and older.
There is an admission cost. For more information, readers may visit http://www.aacamuseum.org or call 717-566-7100.
