Middletown Area School District (MASD) has announced its Outstanding Students of the Year for the 2020-21 school year. The principals and teachers from the district's three elementary schools and from Middletown Area Middle School (MAMS) selected one female and one male student from their highest grade level. Students were chosen based on their academic achievements and exemplary character.
Christina Eng, Fink Elementary School, is the daughter of Tuan Ceu Cung and Ngun Zing. She has been enrolled in the MASD since kindergarten. Her favorite subjects are gym and art.
Connor Geesaman, Fink Elementary School, is the son of Chris and Amanda Geesaman. He has attended Fink since kindergarten. His favorite subjects are gym and math.
Kelten McDermott, Kunkel Elementary School, is the daughter of Ken and Stacey McDermott. She has attended Kunkel since kindergarten. Her favorite subjects are reading and social studies.
Jack Doran, Kunkel Elementary School, is the son of Joseph and Jennifer Doran. He has attended Kunkel since kindergarten. His favorite subjects are math and reading.
Olivia May, Reid Elementary School, is the daughter of Dawn Sullivan. She entered the MASD when she was in kindergarten.
Austin Hartnett, Reid Elementary School, is the son of Josh and Cortney Hartnett. She has attended Reid since kindergarten. His favorite subjects are math and science.
Sofia Eshleman, MAMS, is the daughter of Lori Eshleman and Maria Schofield. She has been a student in the MASD since kindergarten. Her favorite subjects are math and ELA.
Tyson Bomberger, MAMS, is the son of Troy and Amy Bomberger. He has attended MASD schools since kindergarten. His favorite subjects are math, ELA, science, and art.
