Hayli McClain of Manheim was recognized at the annual student awards luncheon at Susquehanna University, Selinsgrove, held each May in the days leading up to commencement. McClain received the Outstanding Service in Creative Writing Award.
This award is presented to a student who has gone above and beyond the requirements of their major to aid and improve the Department of Creative Writing. McClain also received departmental honors for undertaking an extra creative project and maintaining a 3.0 general grade point average (GPA), as well as a 3.5 GPA in creative writing. McClain was a creative writing major in the Class of 2019. A 2015 graduate of Manheim Central, she is the daughter of Linda and Dave McClain.
