MCFEE Sets Annual Auction

The Manheim Central Foundation for Educational Enrichment (MCFEE) will host the 16th annual MCFEE 4 Kids Auction on Saturday, March 23, at the Manheim Brethren in Christ (BIC) Activity Center, 54 N. Penryn Road, Manheim. Doors will open at 4 p.m. for the silent auction and food stations, including gourmet desserts. The live auction will begin at 6 p.m.

The live auction items will include Thanksgiving Day Parade passes and a hotel stay in New York City, a stay at a resort, a Barons custom-made fire pit or corn hole set, and gift certificates. Sports memorabilia will include a variety of items autographed by Chicago Bears head coach and Manheim Central alumnus Matt Nagy. Items handmade by students in Manheim Central's technology education department will also be available. The auction will feature the Doe Run Elementary and H.C. Burgard Elementary PTOs' themed baskets, filled with gift certificates, games, crafts, books, and more.

Those who would like to support MCFEE but are unable to attend the auction will have the opportunity to bid on the silent auction items by visiting http://www.bidpal.net/mcfee2019auction. From Sunday, March 17, until the auction closes on March 23, individuals may preview the silent auction items and place bids. Winning bidders will be notified, and items will be available for pickup.

Proceeds from the event will help to provide educational opportunities for Manheim Central students. At this year's auction, MCFEE will reveal another new project during the live grant appeal portion of the evening.

The 2018 MCFEE 4 Kids Auction set a record for dollars raised. An new live grant appeal brought high bidding to fund the Chris Herren Project Purple Initiative for the Manheim Central High School.

Since 2001, MCFEE has funded more than $1.3 million in Manheim Central teacher grants. For the 2018-19 school year, 20 teacher grants were awarded, totaling more than $70,000 to enrich the education of Manheim Central students in kindergarten through grade 12.
