Peace of Mind Aging & Wellness Specialists in New Holland received a $15,000 Pennsylvania Medical Society Community Care Grant on Sept. 3.
The grant money will help Dr. Kristen Nebel as she adds staff members, including nurses, care navigators and health aides, to her team. This will allow her to serve residents at Welsh Mountain Home and beyond. It will help give capacity for the team to support daily check-ins and additional needs like home Wi-Fi for patients who are currently without access.
Martin Raniowski, executive vice president at the Pennsylvania Medical Society, presented the award at Welsh Mountain Home, where Nebel cares for several residents.
