A program to remember and honor military personnel who sacrificed their lives on behalf of the nation's citizens will take place at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 31, at Memorial Park, 297 Park Ave., Quarryville. In the case of rain, the program will move to the Kreisler building at the fairgrounds.
The guest speaker will be Maj. Matthew Woerth, U.S. Air Force Reserve. Woerth is a 2001 Solanco High School graduate and a 2005 graduate of the United States Air Force Academy.
Raif Groves, a Solanco High School student, will also speak at the event. Members of the Solanco Band will perform patriotic music.
