Middle School Artists Honored

Lower Dauphin Middle School sixth-grader Lily Mayer and eighth-grader Sammie Gallick were recently recognized by officials from UPMC Children's Community Pediatrics (UPMC CCP) in Hummelstown for creating innovative and artistic shirt designs.

Lily's design featured lungs covered in flowers with the caption "Breathing Happiness Into Kids," and Sammie's showed a UPMC CCP camera with a mountain landscape. Lily's design took first place, but office manager Sharon Garrett said it was such a difficult decision that Sammie also won a prize basket for her runner-up design.
