Women's History Month is a national tradition that acknowledges the vital role of women throughout U.S. history. In celebration of Women's History Month, exemplary Geisinger women have been nominated for recognition. They were nominated by their peers across Geisinger's social media channels, through employee-focused communication avenues, on digital monitors across the health system, and on Geisinger's website.
Each woman was chosen for exemplifying the same spirit of compassion, vision, leadership and strength shown by Abigail Geisinger, who founded Geisinger more than 100 years ago.
Geisinger kicked off the series by recognizing Lynn Miller, MBA, who is executive vice president of clinical operations and is responsible for the operations of Geisinger's $2.7 billion clinical enterprise. She was honored not only for her leadership, but also for caring deeply about doing the right thing, spending an outstanding amount of time mentoring others, giving of herself for the advancement of community organizations, and being inclusive in her decision-making by welcoming and respecting differing opinions and ideas.
