Mohler Center Plans Programs

A social with John Hadfield and Reggie will be held on Friday, Oct. 18, at 11:30 a.m. Lunch will be pork tenderloin, roasted potatoes, a vegetable medley, fruit cocktail, and lemon meringue pie. There is a fee, and reservations are required by Tuesday, Oct. 15.

On Monday, Oct. 21, a Go Comprehensive Lunch and Learn will be held. Jay and Robin will provide information on Medicare. Gifts will be given to those in attendance, and Medicare cards can be laminated. Lunch will be chicken fingers with macaroni and cheese, stewed tomatoes, and dessert. The lunch will be free, but reservations are required by Thursday, Oct. 17.

On Wednesday, Oct. 23, "Slaying the Gerrymander: Redistricting Reform and Our Democracy" will be presented at 2:30 p.m. by Jean Handley, the Dauphin County coordinator of Fair Districts PA. Interested attendees should reserve a spot.

"Medicare 101" will be presented by Dauphin County APPRISE counselors at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 24. To register, interested readers should call Dauphin County APPRISE counselor Shannon Vallier at 717-780-6130, ext. 6147.

APPRISE Medicare counselors will provide free help to beneficiaries at Mohler Center on Oct. 24 from noon to 3 p.m.; Thursday, Nov. 7, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.; and Monday, Nov. 18, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. People with Medicare or their representatives will have te chance to get personalized help from Vallier at Mohler Center. To register, readers may call 717-780-6130, ext. 6147, to schedule a one-on-one consultation.

Mohler Center will be the site of a spaghetti dinner to benefit Hershey Community Chorus on Tuesday, Oct. 29, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. The meal will include spaghetti with homemade meat or marinara sauce, tossed salad, bread, and a beverage. Separate fees have been set for adults and for children under age 12. Takeouts will be available. Tickets can be purchase at Mohler Center in advance or at the door.

The senior center is planning a Christmas trip to Philadelphia for shopping, lunch, and a performance by the Philly Pops. The trip will depart from Mohler Center at 8:30 a.m. and return at 8:30 p.m. There is a fee, and interested participants must register by Friday, Nov. 1.
