The York County Astronomical Society (YCAS) will host a night at the York Revolution on Friday, July 12. July 2019 marks the 50th anniversary of the Apollo Moon Landing, and YCAS will celebrate at PeoplesBank Stadium, 5 Brooks Robinson Way, York.
The public is invited to join YCAS as club members set up their telescopes on the third baseline concourse to view the full moon. Members will show visitors the landing site of the Apollo 11 crew as well as other features of the moon.
On July 12, the York Revolution will face the newest team in the league, the High Point Rockers. This will be the first game after the All-Star Game on Wednesday, July 10. A portion of each ticket cost will be donated to YCAS when purchased at http://yr1.glitnirticketing.com/yrticket/web/logingroup.php?password=ycas&auto=1. The group password is ycas.
