Manheim Township Educational Foundation (MTEF) distributed 130 certificates to educators across the district and received $2,595 in contributions as part of its Thank-a-Teacher campaign during the 2019-20 school year.
In this program, Manheim Township School District (MTSD) families may recognize special teachers and staff members with a donation of any amount in their name to the MTEF. Contributions help to provide funding for the foundation's grant program. Additionally, for donations of $25 or more, MTEF gifts $15 toward a book to the designated school's library. Books are donated once per semester. With the donations received in the 2019-20 year, MTEF will gift 81 books to school libraries across the district.
Participants submitted the name of a teacher, coach, or staff member they wished to thank along with a contribution to the foundation. MTEF then distributed personalized certificates including the name of the donor and a special thank-you message to each of the recognized educators.
