The Teaching Museum for the Fiber Arts and Textiles, 12637 Mount Olivet Road, Felton, will extend its hours as of Aug. 2. For the months of August, September and October, it will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
The museum offers history and hands-on demonstrations relating to fiber arts and textiles. It also offers classes for the arts such as hand spinning, knitting, weaving, felting, and sewing. It also includes animals to visit, tours of the museum, and a gift shop. Special activities for Scouts, homeschoolers, youth organizations, businesses, adult associations, and other groups may be arranged by contacting 717-873-8960.
