Museum Plans Fundraiser

The National Watch and Clock Museum, 514 Poplar St., Columbia, will hold its 12th annual beer-tasting event, Hops 'n' Clocks, on Friday, July 12, from 6 to 9 p.m. Attendees will be able to sample local beverages and food and enjoy live music. Door prizes will be available.

Local breweries will include Aldus Brewing Company, Columbia Kettle Works, Lancaster Brewing Company, Liquid Hero Brewery, Mad Chef Craft Brewing, Starview Brews, Tröegs Independent Brewing, and Wacker Brewing Company.

Local food vendors will include Baum's Bologna, Bully's Restaurant and Pub, Dam Good Snacks, Half Nuts Popcorn, Isaac's Restaurants, The Original Pickle Company, Union Station Grill, and Wrightsville Inn. Turkey Hill Dairy will provide nonalcoholic beverages. Attendees may vote for the People's Choice Awards.

Fire in the Glen will perform traditional music from Ireland, Scotland, and the Canadian Maritimes. Local radio personality Diane Grey will be the master of ceremonies of the festivities.

A limited number of tickets will be sold. Tickets will be discounted for designated drivers and nondrinkers. Attendees must be age 21 or older. Admission includes beer tasting, food sampling, a commemorative glass, museum admission, live music, nonalcoholic beverages, and a chance to win a door prize. Proceeds will benefit the museum and the Fortunat Mueller-Maerki Library and Research Center.
