The North Museum of Nature and Science, 400 College Ave., Lancaster, will hold its seventh annual Cosmic Bash fundraiser on Saturday, May 21, in the museum and on the lawn of the Franklin & Marshall College campus. It will begin with VIP activities at 5 p.m.
The Cosmic Bash will include a silent auction in the planetarium, a tapas-style dinner under an outdoor tent, and a live auction of treasured items and experiences. The event will feature decor and special effects created by design sponsor ATOMIC, which creates spectacles for live events like WWE, the NFL championship halftime shows, and award shows and corporate events. ATOMIC will lend its creativity to showcase some of the North Museum's more than 350,000 collection objects and light up the night in harmony with the event's natural surroundings.
Proceeds from the Cosmic Bash will benefit free and reduced-cost STEM education programs for children in Lancaster County and central Pennsylvania. The North Museum's programs include at-home learning activity packs, free field trips and after-school programs, and an annual Science and Engineering Fair for middle and high school students.
To purchase tickets, visit http://www.northmuseum.org/cosmic-bash or call 717-358-4383.
As of April 26, a limited number of sponsorships were still available. Sponsorship includes a VIP reception before the event, early access to the silent auction, and corporate benefits. To become a sponsor, call the aforementioned number or email development@northmuseum.org.
