NAMI To Offer Free Program

National Alliance on Mental Illness of Pennsylvania (NAMI PA) York County will offer a free education program for people with any mental illness who are interested in establishing and maintaining their wellness and recovery. The course will be held from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the NAMI office, 140 Roosevelt Ave., York, on Tuesdays from July 9 through Aug. 27.

The Peer-to-Peer course consists of eight two-hour sessions, taught by a team of two trained "mentors" who have experience with living well with mental illness. Peer-to-Peer uses a combination of lecture, interactive exercises and structured group processes, as well as the diverse experience of the course participants.
