"Native Winters" Program Planned

On Wednesday, Dec. 11, the Zimmerman Center's Heritage Lecture Series offers a glimpse of winter life in the days of longhouses and bearskin blankets with the presentation "Native Winters." The lecture will begin at 6:30 p.m. at The Zimmerman Center for Heritage, 1706 Long Level Road, Wrightsville. Doors will open at 6 p.m.

Attendees will learn how the indigenous people of this land survived and celebrated this time of the year. The program will be presented by Zimmerman Center manager Paul Nevin, a past president of the Society for Pennsylvania Archaeology who has had a lifelong interest in Native American culture.
