The York County Economic Alliance (YCEA), along with the countywide Workforce Advisory Committee, announced the launch of a new workforce and education tool called Pathways Portal. Utilizing the work of the Pathways to Prosperity countywide workforce action plan, the portal serves as a comprehensive hub of resources for job seekers, educators, students, business owners and leaders, and community members. Its purpose is to grow an innovative economy and strengthen the future of the workforce.
Features and topics include Employment and Training Opportunities, a Connection Center that matches job seekers with career opportunities, Career Awareness and Exploration, Small Business Growth and Entrepreneurship Resources and Support, Community Resources, Employer Resources, and Data and Demographics.
The Pathways Portal was identified as a needed tool and resource for the community, even prior to COVID-19. Whether it is resources, data, opportunities, education, or even providing a searchable database of available jobs and available employees, the portal is available to help the community in over 30 languages.
