North Star of Chester County will host its Wine and Beer Tasting fall fundraiser on Sunday, Nov. 10, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the General Warren, 9 Old Lancaster Road, Malvern. Proceeds will benefit North Star of Chester County's homelessness prevention program, which helps local single working parents and their children remain in their homes.
Attendees will be able to enjoy wine and beer from local wineries and breweries such as Black Walnut Winery and Locust Lane Winery. They will be paired with foods such as short rib ravioli, bacon-wrapped shrimp, crab cakes, and more from Limoncello, The Office Bar & Grille, Gadaleto's Seafood, Cedar Hollow Inn, The Original Spence Cafe, Andrew's Catering, and J&J Delights.
The event will also feature a silent auction with a range of prizes, including a street-legal sport scooter. Bidding has already begun. The scooter is on display at the Exton Region Chamber of Commerce. To place a bid, readers may stop by the Chamber or text WINEBEER19 to 52182. The auction will close during the fundraiser on Nov. 10. Attendance is not required to participate in the silent auction.
For 27 years, North Star of Chester County has guided hardworking single parents away from housing instability and toward self-sufficiency through a three-year program of financial assistance, mentoring, and education.
